Finally, I am sitting down to share my recipe for my DIY coffee scrub. It is pretty simple and is a great way to avoid wasting coffee grounds. We are coffee drinkers and I have always hated throwing out coffee grounds pretty much daily. I found that they are great for your plants and gardens, but I had to find another way to use them. So…
Here Is What You’ll Need
From here it’s simple. After drying them out, I use my nutri bullet to blend the coffee grounds and sugar. I do this because I want them to be fine. If you use them as is, they will be too coarse and abrasive on your skin.
After grinding them down a bit, I mix all of the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. I then add the oils (I honestly eyeball) and mix together with my hands. Once the scrub is the consistency I want (thick and a little clumpy) I add a few drops of my favorite essential oils.
And That’s It…
I use this scrub all over my body while in the shower and I have even used it on my face a few times and loved the results. It’s cheap to make, lasts for a while, has amazing *benefits for your skin AND it is a great way to avoid waste.
Have you used or made coffee scrubs? What did you think?
