What are you leaving in 2017? Toxic relationships and people? Debts? Bad habits and unhealthy living? It is always something! I think we all tend to want to detox something out of our lives and start the year fresh. Personally, I gave up on new year resolutions years ago, so I will not be setting them. But I do intend to let something go that do not serve me.
Do you set new year resolutions? How has that worked for you?
I think they can work if you work. You have to really be disciplined and have the ability to stay consistent. These are not qualities that I possess. I went vegan for over a year and over the last few months I have fallen off completely and I tend to do that. I will stick with something for a while and then gradually I will throw it all away. I have learned that it is not the end of the world and you can always start again. I plan to get back on track and I am using January 1 as an official start date, but it will not be a resolution.
I always feel like resolutions are made to be broken. They are made to only last 6 months or less. This is my perception of the resolution; hence why I don’t like setting them.

Over spending and calling off work for no reason. These are all the things that I feel are holding me back.
Eating my feelings and just overall unhealthy eating habits. It really doesn’t have anything to do with being vegan, but everything to do with self discipline.
Getting and staying active. I have completely lost any desire to work out aside from a few yoga classes here and there. This needs to change and I will be taking baby steps to make that happen.
Although the new year is coming, these are things I am currently working on. I will not wait until the new year to get started because I have to get in the habit of starting good habits. I feel that these are my biggest issues and the best areas for improvement for me.
